The Domino Sugar plant is one of the most recognizable landmarks on Baltimore’s Inner Harbour, a document from when the harbour was a commercial center rather than the tourist destination that it is now.
That’s the cutest factory I’ve ever seen.
very nice ! all the lovely little windows make a neat pattern, makes my eye dance around the page !
I admit that this is one of those that looks better in my sketchbook than it does online. I’m still trying to figure out some drawing strategies for buildings. Another issue is that I did a quick sketch onsite and then worked it out afterwards at home. I hadn’t taken a reference photograph so I think maybe I didn’t get the kind of detail I wanted.
What a wonderful image! I could see the red neon at night from my bedroom window, all the way from Hampden, when I was growing up in Baltimore.
the drawing is quite good but please pay your attention to the verticality of chimneys. They look little bit like made of rubber.
